The agent editor
Find your way around an agent's settings, save changes, and go back to an earlier version.
Open Agents and select an agent to open its editor. Settings are grouped into tabs on the left, and a test panel sits on the right so you can try changes straight away.
Tabs
The tabs you see depend on the kind of agent.
| Tab | Use it to |
|---|---|
| General | Change the name, description, languages and tags. |
| Channels | Turn Test Mode and live channels on or off. |
| System Prompt | Edit the instructions the agent follows. See Write great instructions. |
| Conversation | Set the greeting message and how long conversations can last. |
| Post-call Analysis | Pull consistent results out of each finished conversation, such as the reason for the call. |
| Voice & Models | Choose the transcriber, AI model and voice. See Choose a voice and model. |
| Functions and MCP | Let the agent take actions in other systems. For advanced setups. |
| Knowledge | Connect knowledge bases. See Add knowledge. |
| Event Webhooks | Send agent events to your own systems. For developers. |
For a chat-only agent, Voice & Models is called Model.
Saving changes
Select Save agent at the top of the editor when you're done.
Saved changes go live straight away
When you save, the changes apply to every channel the agent is live on. Try them in Test Mode first.
Going back to an earlier version
Telik keeps earlier versions of your agent's setup. To undo a change:
- Select Versions at the top of the editor.
- Find the version you want and activate it.
Save or discard any unsaved changes before switching versions.
Checking your setup
On wide screens, the At a glance panel shows the agent's model, language, live channel, knowledge and Test Mode status. Core configuration shows what's left to set up, with a percentage for how complete the setup is.
